Compare Recorded sessions

Once you have more than one saved test, Visual Field Tracker lets you compare two measurements and explore how your recorded visual field differs between sessions.

Compare two measurements

Select two tests from your Test History to examine them together.

Visual Field Tracker analyses several characteristics of the two sessions, including:

  • changes in recorded points;
  • overlap between the areas you investigated;
  • display and viewport alignment;
  • test configuration;
  • similarity between the two testing sessions.

The comparison helps you understand where recorded points differ while also showing whether the two tests were performed under sufficiently similar conditions.

Understand the comparability score

Not every pair of visual field tests provides an equally useful comparison.

Differences in screen size, viewing area, calibration, test configuration or the portion of the visual field you explored can make two sessions difficult to compare directly.

Visual Field Tracker therefore calculates a comparability score based on characteristics of the two testing sessions.

A higher comparability score means that the conditions and investigated areas of the two tests are more similar.

The comparability score describes whether two testing sessions can reasonably be compared. It does not measure vision quality or disease progression.

Comparing measurements over time is one of the central ideas behind Visual Field Tracker: an individual test creates a map, while repeated tests allow you to explore how that map changes.
