Visual Field Tracker lets you explore your visual field using a computer screen and a simple interactive test.
A red fixation point remains at the centre of the screen. While keeping your eyes focused on this point, you use the keyboard to move a yellow test point through different areas of the screen.
The important part is to keep looking at the red point rather than following the yellow point with your eyes.
As the yellow point moves away from the centre, you perceive it using different areas of your visual field.
When the yellow point disappears from your perception, you mark its position by pressing the Spacebar.
By approaching an area from different directions and recording where the test point disappears, you can gradually map areas of your visual field where the stimulus is no longer perceived.
The procedure is performed separately for each eye.
Once completed, Visual Field Tracker turns the positions you recorded into a visual map of your field of vision and saves it to your personal history.
Repeat the test later and you can compare your new measurement with previous results.
